I'm unsure of where this regression started, but it's been present since at least r87811 (which I've had for over a month but did not use until today) and is still present as of r88142. It's specifically an issue with the OpenGL driver; no problems when using other video plugins.
Affected games that I've found so far: Dynasty Warriors, Omega Boost, R4 Ridge Racer Type 4, Rage Racer, Ridge Racer Turbo Mode, Rival Schools, R-Types, R-Type Delta, Samurai Shodown: Warrior's Rage, Silent Hill, SoulBlade.
In the case of Ridge Racer Turbo Mode and R-Types, the black screen freeze occurs upon selecting a game to play. On all other games, there is just a black screen freeze on boot up. Using the same settings on an older build (currently using r83652), all of the above games start and run without issue.
Attached are my settings, though changing the settings doesn't seem to have any effect on the issue.
